I ask because I saw some recently and took this video:
UPDATE! on 9/5/2012
So I'm addicted to watching BBC's "Planet Earth", "Frozen Planet", and "Life" series and David Attenborough (whose name spelled correct on the first try) was so kind as to educate me that these sea gooseberries have "beating cilia that scatter the sun's rays into dazzling bursts of color", which looks really awesome close up.
Of course, this video makes mine look terrible....

The most intimidating gosling
I went and visited my parents and found that our geese had a baby. It is so cute and tried to be scary like it's parents.
The last part of "there goes the toad!" spoken by my father, was because I found a toad in the chicken coop (terrible place for a toad to be) and tried to rescue it. It probably thought I was going to kill it or whatever goes through the head of wild animals when they run away and climbed underneath something out of my reach. At this moment it climbed back out and was being traded off between the chickens. I got it and threw it over the fence it to freedom, though it looked quite dehydrated and probably died eventually. Quite a sad story really.
Cast iron skillet
So my parents were nice enough to buy me a set of cast iron skillets. My father then in formed me that in order for them not to rust you need to 'season' them. His instructions were to put some oil or shortening on them, then out them upside down in the oven and let them stay there for about 3 hours. I asked him how hot it should be and he said "I dunno...as hot as your oven will go?"
So I followed his instructions...
..and learned that our smoke alarm is REALLY loud and was thankful that no one lives below us and we aren't connected by walls to any other residents.
Also, my skillets still rusted :'(
