Awesome Free Fractal Program

I found this awesome program called Apophysis 7x that you can download at that link. It is a semi-easy program to make fractal art with. I've had to find a lot of tutorials online so I could have a bit of idea of what I'm doing. Sometimes I can make some nice things, sometimes I have to tell myself that that particular image isn't working out and I'm not making it any better.

I made these 4 pictures with the Apophysis. Then I took it to Pixlr (a free image editing site similar to photoshop, but browser based) to make it darker in some places and highlight it in others to give a nice glow look.

Giraffe Fighting a Dragon

Asked my roommate to give me an idea for something to draw because I hadn't in a while, and he said "A giraffe fighting a dragon." So here it is:

I was going to crop it and make it clearer or something since my sketch book is too big for my scanner, but photoshop elements decided it hates me and will stop working when I open the editor. If I get it to work one day and remember to fix this picture I will replace this one.
I like how it could be a fight to the death, or just an argument. "You ate all the lucky charms and all that's left is honey smacks!!"

At this page you can create your own robot and make him dance to a little robot-y song. A bit of amusement for your day. Called Exobotics! Not sure why, maybe you should be on exo's to fully appreciate it?

Beautiful Interactive Generation Art

This is Silk, a click and drag interactive generation art. It is quite fun and addicting. The link will send you to one I made, then you can add to it, or press clear and make a new one. When you are done you can press share, then 'copy link' to get a unique link to your creation.

In the left hand bottom corner you can click to cycle through the types of symmetry  or click the square to choose which color you want to use. Have fun getting lost in its trace.

A cute black and white animation

On the best 404 page ever (yes that's what it's called) when you refresh it will give you a clip of a random flash animation and a link to click and see the whole clip. To see the whole list, you can click 'site index'.

The screenshot above is taken from Caravan Palace, Rock It For Me a cute black and white animation with swing music (that will start as soon as the page loads for this link) about a city making a robot to combat the invading aliens. Combine 2D and 3D animation to make a very nice story.

I then found the original with better quality here on youtube. It seems to be a music video.

The artist RJ Palmer also has made his own versions of pokemon. Taking a more prehistoric approach. This is his deviantart, the other link is his personal site.

Project Runway Season 10 Winner

I am so happy with how this year's Project Runway season turned out. My favorite guy won, so of course that makes me happy. Dmitry Sholokhov  was kind of blah in the beginning but then started getting more interesting later in the season.
His outfit for the Rockettes challenge

I noticed something terrible in episode 13, where Tim Gunn goes to everyone's place and critics their work a week before the fashion show. Going to Melissa's , Fabio's, and Chris' houses he heard "This is my family, and this is my boyfriend!" and had tea with a big crowd. Which I have to wonder if that was a requirement or something, some sort of hidden rule "When Tim Gunn visits, serve tea!" But when he went to Dmitry's house it was just him, all alone. And he revealed this:

And drank tea with just him and Tim.

I must say though, for the final show, his styling was terrible in my tastes, but I LOVED his outfits. Especially his last one.

It helps to put your finger to the screen and cover up her face.
I found an awesome interview  from after it was publicly announced he was the winner. Yay Dmitry!

Randyotter, an artist of cute and clever works

I found a very awesome artist called Randy Otter. His work usually has cute faces in it and some out of the ordinary situation or thing. Role reversal and such. These are some of my favorites, with the title listed under each one. If you want to see more, click his hyper-linked name above to go to his flickr.
