The Assassin's Creed III Post
We got Assassin's Creed II on the midnight release, but until now three hasn't been enough pictures online for me to be happy with this post.
At our gamestop, since it was close to Halloween there was a costume contest. I showed up as headcrab zombie.... and the only other person who was in "costume" was a girl dressed up as Lucy Stillman from the AC series, which looks like this:
And it's cool that she dressed up from the game, but the contest was open to any costume, but versus a headcrab zombie, it seemed she just kind of found that she had the right clothes in her closet. The store did that terrible thing where they say "If you like this costume, clap your hands!" ...but that ended up not working very well, so everyone had to raise their hands instead.
I won :3 and got a $10 gift card to the store.
Then we went home and played it....and it had SO many bugs and glitches
Here's two amusing (to me) glitches I captured with my high-tech video capture device (my camera pointed at the tv)
but also this happened:
So I guess it's an alright game, expect that I keep getting REALLY mad at it doing things I don't want it to, (like when I'm jumping from tree to tree and he's all like, I think I'll jump unto the ground now...I hate trees) I blame the glitches...

It's pointless, but I still want to do it. I mean, come on, petting pigs makes your hand puke up cornflakes!
Also I like how strangely awkward this video. Just looking at a kid running into a wall then all of a sudden "Pig! It was you the entire time!" feeds pig, then throws money at the guy walking into the wall. (A summary in case you don't feel like watching the video)
I pet all the animals and was all like:

Boyfriend said it was dumb and pointless for me to do that and I said that there might be some significance. Maybe at one point someone tries to call the dogs on you and then before killing you they will remember you and turn on their master instead! Though I did try to feed a rat and ended up stepping on it :[
I went sleep and woke up to my boyfriend being farther in the game (actually playing as Connors) and he was chasing down small cute creatures and MURDERING them!
It was terrible! Right after I had gotten the impression that this game was so amazing because Connors probably was attune to nature and could command animals to rip apart his enemies (go get 'em kitty!) then I find out it is a requirement to get pass one part to kill them D:
Of course I've come across THIS problem now that I've played as Connors

The wolfies don't understand I'm a friend...or the angry moose for that matter...luckily haven't run into a bear yet. |

The Amazing Lyre Bird
This bird is awesome. It can imitate any sound it seems, all in an attempt to attract a mate's attention better than any other bird. Even the sounds of chainsaws clear cutting the forest it lives in. The first video is the actual bird, the second one is a funny one that was dubbed over and lip synced quite well. I think it was the actual BBC team who did it.

Dramatic Seagull
Just look at this seagull, look at his epicness as he watches over Row 2 of the parking lot, making sure that his royal subjects do not step out of line as hes Gulliness prepares for war with Row 8...Those tyrants... They killed his wife and son, and shall rue the day they ever crossed King of Row 2!
Or it's just a stupid seagull on a pole with some clouds behind him.
And While we're on the subject of seagulls here's a giant one (this video was not taken by me, but the picture was)

Chocolate cockatoo
Found this and traced it to this guy. No clue if he took the picture or not, yay internet! I squeaky laughed so hard to this and thought I'd share.

Turtle's multiple rocky failures
I feed my turtle by hand, but she seemed nervous to get on her basking rock while I'm near. Usually when I walk by and she is on her rock, she jumps into the water. She seemed eager though so I thought I'd try feeding her on the rock, I didn't know she would fail so many times.

I have a turtle. Her name is Jo, but she doesn't know that.
So I got a cute little turtle from a $1.09 store from some foreigners for $20 that was "A special price for you only, today!". It included food and one of those tiny plastic terrariums with a little happy plastic palm tree that some turtle breeders refer to as "the plastic death box" for it is much too small and most baby turtles bought on a whim die in those.
She looks like so:
She is okay from that fall, luckily her shell protected her, because it's been 2 months from now and she seems okay. Here's a video of her eating some lettuce with my terrible narration:
As you can see, her tank got much more pimped. It's quite nice...though when I was rinsing all of the aquarium rocks to get the dust off of them, I got some in the garbage disposal because I'm dumb and didn't think to put the cover on it. Then a few days later I turned on the disposal and it worked...and then just stopped, which reminded me about the rocks that fell down the drain.... any tips on how to get aquarium rocks unstuck from a garbage disposal?
She looks like so:
I named her Jo Ann, but no one calls her that including me because turtle is much easier and "hey turtle!" sounds more fun than "hey jo!" ....I think... this is just a random theory of mine as to why we don't call her by her name. Anyways here is my roommate dropping her on the floor like the dick he is:

Do you like electric rainbow jellyfish?
I ask because I saw some recently and took this video:
UPDATE! on 9/5/2012
So I'm addicted to watching BBC's "Planet Earth", "Frozen Planet", and "Life" series and David Attenborough (whose name spelled correct on the first try) was so kind as to educate me that these sea gooseberries have "beating cilia that scatter the sun's rays into dazzling bursts of color", which looks really awesome close up.
Of course, this video makes mine look terrible....
